Partners
To provide USAID missions and bureaus with the best
possible assistance through the TASC mechanism, John
Snow, Inc. has partnered with the Academy for Educational
Development (AED), and the Manoff Group, Inc. (MGI).
Academy
for Educational Development (AED)
The Academy for Educational Development, a nonprofit
organization, has been at the forefront of primary
health care promotion for under-served and at-risk
populations for child survival, nutrition, maternal
health, HIV/AIDS, and population programs. AED has
been a global leader in developing a systematic methodology
for motivating community, family, and individual behavior
change in population, health, and nutrition programs
and for strengthening the performance of health providers.
Manoff
Group, Inc.
The Manoff Group is a consulting company that for
over twenty-five years has specialized in behavior-oriented
planning and communications for health, nutrition,
family planning, and environmental programs. The Manoff
Group has achieved innovations in qualitative research
methods, concept development and testing, communication
strategy and media planning, message design, materials
development and testing, and program evaluation. In
the 1970s, the Manoff Group was a pioneer in using
the power of mass media to create public awareness
of urgent health problems and to suggest practical
solutions. During the past decade, the Manoff Group
has developed techniques for strengthening interpersonal
counseling to help health workers and individual mothers
"negotiate" feasible and effective changes
in practices.
